Thanks for the 411 on that CP; I'd never heard of it.

From the IMDB write  up,  it looks like it was never commercially released in the US...(it looks like it was only shown at film festivals...)

I'll keep an eye out for it.

It enjoyed limited release in major cities, and received a lot of critical acclaim for such a small movie.  I had planned to see it, but it didn't last all that long in the theaters, glad to see it's out on DVD.

Saw that not long ago and was very impressed.        Finally, some real science fiction and not another 'Spagetti Western in Space' filled with SPX, but weak story.        I thought it might be good, and in fact it was great.   


Oh, and excellent casting with Kevin Spacey as the voice of GERTY (the reviews call him a robot, but he was more along the lines of a caretaker computer, much like HAL of 2001)

Given the way he was doing the voice, I assumed there was a conscious "tribute" involved there....
