Gob, any entry on that list requires that we upgrade to 1.1.11

Lets say that an upgrade is painless, what do we do to the 2 or whatever who get through?

Can we trash their posts and black ball their account?

The same thing we did with the other posters perhaps?  Whack them.

It didn't seem to be an issue here before?

Quote
the issue as always revolves around a scant handful of habitual complainers.

Well now this is interesting....

By my reckoning there are only a maximum of four active posters on this board who could be at all be characterized as comprising the, "scant handful of habitual complainers"....

And yet this poll has been open for only a few hours, and already there are three times that many here calling for a new registration system...

How can this be?

I know I'm surprised....

I don't remember it taking much, if any, time to register. But as pointed out by Lord Jim in another thread, that was 3 years ago.

It would be nice to have people registered in a the "shortest" amount of time possible (immediately comes to mind as "shortest") but it might not be feasable given the mods/semi-custom nature of this board and still be effective in keeping out spammers/bots.

I don't vote in polls Grin

Hey oldr!

Was wondering if you'd gone AWOL . . .

No, just been a little busy. And I had some anxiety issues to deal with. Mostly brought on by job pressures dating back to last July. Hope to be around more often now.

Are things calming down a bit for you in that new gig?

Well, it's been up 24 hours, and we have 15 votes plus oldr's endorsement.

I left it open for a while so that any lingering posts, would have time to particpate.

No hurry.
